We believe kids thrive when exposed to
diverse outdoor experiences
This is more than just our philosophy — research proves that children who spend regular time in nature are healthier, happier, better adjusted, and perform better in school.
Why Time Outdoors Matters
Beyond appreciating natural beauty and preserving our surroundings, nature provides essential developmental benefits.
Sparks Curiosity
Kids wonder about the everyday magic of the natural world.
Fosters Resilience
They encounter unexpected situations—be it a windy day while kayaking or getting caught in a sudden rain shower on a trail.
Builds Confidence
They conquer their fears, whether that means touching an ostrich or scaling a steep section of a hike.
Our Story
As parents of two kids, we experienced firsthand how difficult it is to discover and plan such experiences. There was constant uncertainty: Is this experience safe and suitable? Is our child ready for this activity?
These are common information gaps that can easily be bridged by a strong community of parents helping one another better understand the availability, suitability, and quality of local experiences.
This led to us starting Explora. We want to create a community of parents, supported by domain experts, to build a shared space that solves these everyday roadblocks—enabling parents to spend less time searching andmore time creating memories.
